Rafael Samec

Rafael Samec was born in 1943 in Vidim, close to Dobrepolje, in Slovenia. He finished School for Design in Ljubljana, and has had more than one-hundred twenty exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad. Nearly three decades, Rafael Samec has been giving a recognizable signature, with his clearly defined sensibility, to his different conceptual-sculptural wax forms, creating a big opus presented at many exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad. For exceptional results achieved in this area, he was given the title of Master of Arts and Crafts. Due to the specific material used to create the pieces, the work of this artist draws the attention of both the experts and the public. This is the first time Rafael Samec exhibits in Serbia, in the Gallery of the Belgrade Fortress in the Stanbul gate.
