In the Great Gunpowder Magacine a statue from the end of the 2nd – beginning of the 3rd century was demolished, during the last night. The statue belongs to the collection of Roman stone monuments and is the property of the National Museum. The case was immediately reported to the police, who conducted an investigation. PE Belgrade Fortress believes the perpetrators will be found and sanctioned.

The conservators of the National Museum will assess the damage caused to the monument. Thanks to the reaction of the security of the PE “Belgrade Fortress”, the greater damage that could have occurred was prevented.
