Mary Warlick, U.S. Ambassador to Serbia, visited the restored Nebojša Tower at the Lower Town of the Belgrade Fortress. The Ambassador pointed out that the Nebojša Tower nicely exemplifies Belgrade and Serbian history.

“I want to congratulate to all the people who have participated in this project, because this is a place where visitors from Serbia and all over the world come. As I have heard earlier in the Tower, and I also know that it has been recently restored, but this is the first time I have visited it, and I will definitely come again with my family”, said the Ambassador.

Ivana Lučić Todosić, director of PE “Belgrade Fortress”, said that visitor have very nice impression of the Tower.

“A lot of important people from the world of culture and art visit the Tower and they get a new perspective of us as well. They perceive us as someone who takes care of the culture, who presents it in its best, in a serious way. It is necessary, in my opinion, to promote this project as much as possible, and to put the Tower on a tourist map of Belgrade as a must-see place”, said Ivana Lučić Todosić.

According to her, Nebojša Tower had around 5000 visitors since it was opened (estimated by tickets sold). But, she added, that number was much higher because of a number of delegations from the United Nations and UNESCO.
