Children will play an old, almost forgotten games (jumping in the sack, skipping rope …) within the “Games that we played,” and participate in the “new sports games” GAGA BALL and CARPETBALL, popular in American summer camps.

GAGA BALL is played in a large octagon or hexagon called a ga-ga pit, that can vary in size and form. It was played as early as the mid-1960s in a wide variety of locations. Children often learn about ga-ga through summer camps across Canada and the United States, with varying sizes of pits.

CARPETBALL is a popular camp game, similar to pool and played with pool balls, played in a long, high-walled table. It was originally popularized in youth camps in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s.

The program “New sports games” consisting of displays, demonstrations and active participation in the game. The program is designed for families.
