Belgrade, May 10th 2013 – The Public Enterprise “Belgrade Fortress”, on May 10th, 2013, at 01.00 pm has opened the exhibition “Belgrade in Old Postcards”, on the Sava Premade in Park Kalemegdan.

Exhibition “Belgrade in Old Postcards” has been accomplished аs a collaboration of PE „Belgrade Fortress“ and “Atelje Vicić”, as a part of PE „Belgrade Fortress” Plan and Program for 2013. Presented material is a part of “Atelje Vicić” private collection, and was published in the two-volume monograph “Greetings from Belgrade”.

The exhibition will be open until May 31th, 2013.

Old picture postcards are an important source of documentary value, which enabling us to study how the city has evolved, monitoring changes in appearance of its parts and changes in certain environmental units from the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century.
