Belgrade Fortress – The New York Times recommendation

As one of the most attractive destinations during a short stay in Belgrade, the famous New York Times recommends a visit to Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park.

The New York Times reports that the Fortress is the place where Belgrade originated; once a Roman fortress Singidunum, and later a medieval fortress … The rapporteur points to a beautiful view of the confluence of Sava and Danube. For photography, he recommends the Victory Monument – one of Belgrade’s symbols, erected in 1928.

Apart from Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park, this American newspaper also recommends the National Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Museum of Yugoslavia, noting that Belgrade “is becoming a very entertaining and welcoming metropolis in the Balkans.”
